SYNOPSIS
360° tour of the stone quarry
DETAIL
This video was created in order to give customers an idea of what is happening inside a quarry and to document the various stages of production before the raw material arrives at a plant for further processing.
Sounddesign-wise, it was very important to re-record and amplify various distinct elements of the production process in order to stand out from the general sound level of the quarry. Using closely miked spot sounds recorded on location and placing them within a higher-order ambisonic domain also creates a much better spatial image. The sound for the opening drone sequence was built from the ground up - also using a lot of details and ambiences recorded on location.
